An individual of Australian nationality who jumped across a fence and touched Hollywood star Ariana Grande has been expelled and barred from Singapore.

The man, twenty-six, was sentenced to nine days in jail for disrupting public order and has now been "barred from re-entering Singapore," the country's border control informed Singaporean press.

Wen pushed past photographers and charged at the performer and artist, who was present at the regional launch for the film on November 13. Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo wrestled him away from Grande.

He has a background of disrupting concerts and celebrity events, including leaping onto the platform at a Katy Perry performance in Sydney in this summer.

The incident provoked strong reactions in Singapore, with several individuals accusing him of causing further distress to the star.

The singer has mentioned dealing with PTSD after a suicide bomb attack at her show in the English city in spring of 2017 took the lives of 22 people and hurt numerous attendees.

During Wen's trial, the judge was informed he had made efforts to breach on the film's premiere on two occasions, according to local news sources.

He then made a second attempt to jump the barricades. Protection personnel intercepted him and held him in place.

He then uploaded videos appreciating the celebrity for letting him on the carpet and said he was "released."

Law enforcement took him into custody the next day and accused him with causing a disturbance, to which the man admitted guilt.

The District Judge the judicial official was referenced by Channel News Asia as remarking that the man sought attention, noting that he was wrong to assume he would not experience repercussions.

Grande has not addressed the case.

Erivo discussed the situation to a media outlet, saying that she "only aimed to make sure my colleague was safe."

"I think he didn't mean us injury, but you never know with these incidents, and I aimed to make sure that she was OK. That was my immediate response," she stated.
